This album is largely an attempt to take my music in a more compositionally interesting direction. I sequenced the MIDI for many of the tracks digitally with Sibelius, which allowed me to reincorporate techniques from my days of writing classical music. My main goal was to move past my previous approach of simply muting and unmuting short loops, and write songs with more structure and melodic interest. There's still a good amount of ambient however, as well as a brief return to trip hop; I think those will always be core elements of my music alongside my more technical pieces.
